In her latest column, even Asma Jahangir agreed that drone strikes happen to target those militants who are hiding in FATA. While there is an argument that drone attacks create more radicals, Asma Jahangir refuted this argument by mentioning that the “radicalization of the Pakistani youth started in the 1980s” way before there were any drone attacks targeting the militants in FATA.
In reference to the sovereignty of Pakistan, she made another valid point and that is the fact that Pakistan’s sovereignty “has already been hijacked by non-state militants of various nationalities” and the areas where the drone strikes happen, are fully under control of the militants who in some cases have taken over “parts of FATA” and are “running a parallel system of governance”.
No one can argue with the above facts as they have been mentioned by other welknown personalities as well. Along with the above facts, there remains another fact: the best weapon to eliminate these foreign and domestic militants is the drone and the results are indisputable.

Babur saab, tum theek keh rahe ho. FATA ke har gaon ko koi na koi apne hee marzi se chala raha hai aur wahan pe fauj aur police ki koi hazeri nahin hai yane ke FATA na hamare control main hai aur na hamara mulk ka hissa. Hum ko yeh saare chothe mote ghair-qanooni hukomaton ko laghwa kar ke Pakistani qanoon ke tahat laana chaahiye warna yeh log aahista aahista FATA se nikal kar Islamabad tak phonch jaayenge.
