درود پڑھتی ہیں میری سانسیں
سلام کرتی ہیں میری آنکھیں

یہ صرف آنسو نہیں ہیں میرے
جو قطرہ قطرہ چھلک رہے ہیں
یہ ایک انداز ِ گفتگو ہے
کلام کرتی ہیں میری آنکھیں

درود پڑھتی ہیں میری سانسیں
سلام کرتی ہیں میری آنکھیں

نہ کوئ رہبر نہ کوئ ساتھی
نہ کوئ زار ِ سفر ضروری
سفر مدینے کا بے سہارا
تمام کرتی ہیں میری آنکھیں

درود پڑھتی ہیں میری سانسیں
سلام کرتی ہیں میری آنکھیں
