heart is a blood pumping organ whose job is to pump the oxygenated blood into the entire body and remove the de-oxygenated blood from the entire body

i know heart is not thinking its brain which is thinking.... BUT
soul resides in ur heart
sparing the biological crap.
I think its bcuz our soul resides in our hearts. rather than just pumping, heart is a home of an eternal soul. the soul that generates all human emotions

soul resides in heart? well if this is what you think, then fine. But please do let me know ke is knowledge ka source kiya hai?

according to my view, soul is not something that resides only in heart. soul is what keeps the body ticking. it is all over in the body, and there is no one part specific to it;.

shaeri main poetry mian zaroor shaeron ne sub ka demagh kharab ker rakha hai ke dil zakhmi hai, dil ke tukrey huwye, dil main mehboob rehta hai etc etc and all such sort of crap, but if you come to think of it, both religiously speaking and medicinally speaking, heart is simply not capable to do such decisions. at times our decisions are wrong, but those are based on emotions, not MADE by heart. and on emotions mean that having not thought through before making a decision

simple si logic hai yaar, aap kiyun zid mian per gai ho ke nahin heart se think ker wa ker hi rehna hai?

Why Allah mentioned Heart as a thinking organ?
In QUran azeem, Allah subhano talla has revealed many times abot the purity of heart..y? any logical reply? Y not the purity of mind? Y not the purity of body? it has also being revealed as heart a thinking organ of body..and sealing of heart is also revealed...
The question is Y not the sealing of brain? Y?
