حضرت ابودرداء فرماتے ہیں کہ میرے دوست (رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) نے مجھے یہ وصیت (فرمائی تھی کہ تم کسی کو اللہ کا شریک نہ بنانا خواہ تمہارے ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر کے تمہیں جلا کیوں نہ دیا جائے اور جان بوجھ کر فرض نماز نہ چھوڑنا جس نے قصدًا نماز چھوڑ دی تو اس سے ذمہ بری ہو گیا نیز کبھی شراب نہ پینا کیو نکہ یہ ہر برائی کی کنجی ہے۔
