How to apply for F1 visa ?

Step 1 : First of all you have to take TOEFL and GRE test . It is said that it is important that you have to bring minimum 80 in TOEFL IBT test to be qualify in abroad university. However, student may also get admission if the TOEFL score is below this but they get conditional admission and after they join the university , they have to take English classes.

Gre is another test which is require by the most of the university abroad . So it is important to score as much high as possible as this will increase your chances of getting F1 visa (Doesn't Guarantee but it is said by some experts) .GRE is needed for Graduate programs . I don't know about Undergraduate . But one of my friend got the
F1- visa for Undergraduate program without GRE .

STEP 2 : After the completion of the tests . Send your documents , TOEFL score,GRE score to the university address . You can find out all the address, documents requirement on the university website .
Later on they gonna send you the I-20 .

Now for F1 VISA here what you need to do .

Step 1: First Go to this website https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/
This is called DS_160 FORM .
Click on start application and start filling the information they asks.

You need Four 2x2 size photograph . if you wear glasses (don't take picture wearing glasses , always without glasses as there are chances that they will ask you to resubmit if you take your picture with glasses )

After filling the information completely in DS 160 . Take the printout as mention on the DS_160 form after completion they will ask to take printout of the page which include bar code , pic and information like passport number etc .

Step 2 : You need to pay the fees for SEVIS .

Fees will be like $150 - $200 ( This is one time payment for the next 8 months)

You can pay online using Visa card and so .

Takeout the printout as this will be require to submit in the Visa office with the documents .

So these things will be needed to submit to the AGENT office for the interview date, Office located at SHAHEEN COMPLEX (End of I-I Chundrigar road , For Karachi Only)

- DS 160 FORM PRINT OUT
- I-20
- PASSPORT ( RECENT ONE)
- SEVIS PRINT OUT
- ONE 2X2 PHOTOGRAPH

They will charge like 13,000 Pakistani rupees to make an interview appointment .
