Top 10 Unbreakable Records In International Cricket History

Top 10 Unbreakable Records In International Cricket History

10. ShoaibAkhtar’s Controversies:

From claiming that Sachin was afraid to face him, to saying that WasimAkram did do nothing to foster fast bowling in Pakistan, Shoaib has said it all and in a very un-forgiving manner.
The number of controversies surrounding him are uncountable and hence he finds the 10th spot in our compilation.

09. Sachin’s Centuries And Runs:

Cricket’s demigod and runs and centuries machine is in the number 9th spot for the most unbreakable records.
Sachin has 100 international centuries and over 18 thousand runs making his runs and centuries beyond anyone’s reach.

08. Chris Gayle T-20 Hundred:

This Caribbean thunderstorm stands at the 8th spot. In the 2013 IPL,
Gayle thundered a 175, where the 100 came just off 30 balls give his team the Royal Challengers Bangalore an almost one handed victory.

07. Graham Gooch’s 456 Runs In A Single Test:

Attila the Hun pillaged Western Europe in the 4th century for 8 years and then Graham Gooch pillaged the Indian bowling for 4 days.
His 333 in the first innings gave him glory and then the quick fire 123 made him a legend.

06. Australia’s 16 Consecutive Test Wins:

His surname was Waugh but what he did brought a wow in people’s faces.
Leading Australia to 16 unbeaten test matches made him and his style of leadership a legend and hence he finds his spot in the 6th position in our list.

05. Jim Laker’s Bowling Figures Of 19/90:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/...ps853bff65.jpg
Smart, suave and deadly is how people would describe Jim Laker.
He in 1956 scalped an entire side out of the ground in one innings and then came back to take 9 of their wickets in the 2nd innings giving him the best bowling figure of 19/90.
Kumble equalled his 10 wicket record in the late 1990s but couldn’t equal his overall bowling figures. Well some figures are best left untouched.

04. ChamindaVaas’sOne Day International Bowling Figures Of 8/19:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/...pse7206898.jpg
What Laker did in Tests, Vaas did it in ODIs. The left Arm pacer scalped the best ODI record in 2001 when he took 8 wickets giving away just 19 runs.
Given the dominance of batsmen in One Day Internationals it is possible that Vaas’s record would never be broken.

03. Phil Simmon’s Economy Rate:

If you talk about misers then this guy is sure to come to your mind.
A batsman who was asked to do a part time bowling scripted history when he gave away just 3 runs in his allotted 10 overs in 1992 against Pakistan giving him the best economy rate ever.
Thus Phil finds his sweet spot in the no.3 rank on our list.

02. Muralitharan’s 1334 International Wickets:

The Sri Lankan spinner is in the number 2 spot for the number of wickets he has taken in his international career.
He turned a few heads with his unusual style, not to mention sparked a few controversies, but it soon proved effective as he baffled batsmen around the world.
Nearly 20 years later, he had 800 Test wickets and 534 one-day international wickets -- both records.

01. Don Bradman’s Average:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/...psc28c08bf.jpg
99.94 would be a number anybody would be proud of - especially students, but for Bradman, it is just a measure of his talent as a batsman.
Almost all statistics rue the fact that he was the best batsman to ever don the cap and with that average he is the top on this top 10’s list.
