MaiN ne aksar socha thaa usay bhool jaane ke liye
log phir aa jaate thay us ki yaad dilaane ke liye

ye tu ham ne bhi kabhii sochaa hii naa thaa
husn pagal ho jaye gaa ishq ki saza paane ke liye

Meraa janouN hi itnaa tha ke woh seh na sakaa
werna sazaa utnii hii kaafi thii aik deewaane ke liye

usay tu khoud apni zaat pe hi aitamaad na thaa
ham ne bhii kabhii nahii kahaa usay aazmaane ke liye

us kaa raaz-e-dil tu ham ne paa hii liyaa thaa Waheed
baat itnii hii kaafii thii mujhe muskaraane ke liye
