Haqeeqatoon ki tamana thi, khawab choRh gaya
woh mere waste kaisa azab choRh gaya

Diya tha mujh ko sabaq bhi usi ne jeene ka
Jo zindagi ka adhoora nisab choRh gaya

Woh paas tha to bikharte the rang khusiyoon ke
chala gaya to ghammon ke azab choRh gaya

wohi hai sham wohi main aur wohi khushboo
woh apni yadoon ke kaise gulab choRh gaya

Ab hum se yeh be kaif din katien kaise ae
woh kyon yeh sham o sehar ka hisab choRh gaya......
