If I could choose who I would most like to be,
without hesitation, I would choose to be me.
I've been blessed with many friends
and a family I adore.
You're worth much more to me
than all the riches in this world.
Money can't buy happiness
and fame won't bring you peace.
Neither does being poor,
but these are all just things.

It hurts sometimes to loose and
it's never fun to be without, nor wonder
what we'll do tomorrow and how
these needs will all get met.
Life can be frusrtating and
we often feel confused, but I know God
has a plan and together we'll get through.

Even when we hurt each other
we can't stay mad for long.
Disagreements make us human
and hardships make us strong.
I think I'm strong enough now that
I could stand a little fun, but it's got to
be with you, not just anyone.

You're why I'm so proud just to be me.
You've left traces in my heart
I wouldn't trade for anything.
