her dard pehen leina her khuwab me sojana
kia apni tabiyat hai, her shaks ka hojana

ek sheher basalena bichrey huway logo ka
phir shab ke jazeerey me dil thaam ke sojana

mozoo e sukhan jo bhi ho dil thaam ke usey takna
her lafz pei rukjana her baat per khojana

anaa tou bikher jana sanso me mehek bankar
jana tou kalejey me kantey sei chubho jana

jatey huway chup rahna in bolti hooi ankho ka
khamosh takallum sei palko ko bhigo jana

lafzo me utar jana in phool se honto ka
ek lams ki khushboo ka poro me samo jana

her Shaam azaim ki kuch mehfil bana leina
her subha irado ki dehleez pe sojana
