tere khayal se lau de uthi hai tanhai

tere khayal se lau de uthi hai tanhai
shab-e-firaq hai ya teri jalwarai

tu kis khayal main hai ai manzilon k shadai
unhen bhi dekh jinhen raste main nind ai

pukar ai jaras-e-karawan-e-subah-e-tarab
bhatak rahe hain andheron main tere saudai

rah-e-hayat main kuch marhale to dekh liye
ye aur bat teri arazu na ras ai

ye saniha bhi muhabat main barha guzra
k us ne hal bhi pucha to ankh bhar ai

phir us ki yad main dil beqarar hai 'Nasir'
bichar k jis se hui shahar shahar ruswai
