You Told Me In a Dream
was walking one day
with light wind in my hair
went to the local church
to see who was there

I walked inside
whom did i see
you standing at the altar
staring back at me

Neither one of us said anything
Just nodded heads towards ourselves
I ran down the aisle
I needed to see the truth for myself

I wanted to be sure
that it was you
it's been such I long time
since I have last saw you

I caressed your face
and touched your sweet lips with mine
but the question was in the back of my mind was
will you forever be mine?

Not a word was said
we walked over to the window
I heard a voice
that made me shutter

It was God
saying this to us
Now my children you are together
Never drift apart, be together forever


You turned me around
and said to me
that you will always
have a place in your heart for me

Then you said
those three little words
that I will never forget
I love you dearest
with all of my heart

I woke up
and started to cry
because I wish
this really happened to I

I just remembered now
This is a dream
Maybe someday
It will be reality.
