sham k sanwale chehre ko nikhra jaye
kyon na sagar se koi chand ubhra jaye

ras aya nahin taskin ka sahil koi
phir mujhe pyas k dariya mein utra jaye

meharban teri nazar, teri adayen qatil
tujhko kis nam se ai dost pukara jaye

mujhko dar hai tere wade pe bharosa kar k
muft mein ye dil-e-khushfaham na mara jaye

jiske dam se tere din-rat darakhshan the "Qateel"
kaise ab us k bina waqt guzara jaye
