Need to know if you’re my true friend, will you be by my side until the end? Can I tell you my secrets deep, and trust them in your heart you’ll keep? We are neither of us without our flaws, can you accept mine as I will yours? I’ll be a shoulder to cry on when you’re blue, will you be there for me when I need you? No matter how busy I will make time for you, if you are busy will you make time for me too? I will take your hand and comfort your tears, will you hold me and soothe my fears? I will give you joy and many warm smiles, can we share that even across many miles? I will not forget what’s important to you, will you remember what’s important to me too? With you my most favourite things I’ll share, If only I know do you truly care? If you can accept me as I do you, then I will know you are a friend most true. |

Everyone should have
a friend like you You are so much fun to be with And you are such a good person You crack me up with laughter And touch my heart with your kindness You have a wonderful ability To know when to offer advice And when to sit in quiet support Time after time You've come to my rescue And brightend so many Of my routine days And time after time I've realized how fortunate I am that my life includes you I really do believe that Everybody should have a friend like you But so far it looks like You are one of a kind! |

We all have a cherished garden we tend -
It is planted with love of family and friends. The memories and dreams we treasure and share Are like beautiful roses found blooming there. The comfort and care on which we depend Is given with love between family and friends. The sunshine of laughter and rain of a tear Only make our love grow with each passing year. We may all be ourselves with no need to pretend Because of the love of family and friends; They notice the rainbows and weather the showers. They overlook weeds and praise all our flowers. The most valuable thing is the time that we spend Tending this garden with family and friends. When counting our blessings, we know from the start That family and friends come first in our heart. |

Whenever we gather together,
The words are not easy to find, But love speaks a common language When people have ties that bind. We don't always say what we're feeling As often as families should; We don't count our blessings out loud, But somehow they're understood. We know that we're thankful for living With the comfort of each other's care; We're grateful for memories and stories, And the jokes that our family shares. We might leave a promise unspoken, But we know that we're loyal and true; We can count on companions through life, In the sunshine and shadows, too. We might show some special attention To a stranger, acquaintance, or guest, But we never forget in our hearts About those that we really love best. These blessings can never be counted Like money or gold dividends; They can only be shared as the love That exists when families are friends. |

We're simply friends, but that says so much
We may not always call each other or always stay in touch But I know that I can pick up the phone or write you an email and it will be as if we have never been apart. Our friendship has always been so special, it has been from the start. When my heart is heavy, when no joy can I see. When life has gotten me down and pain is all I see. I can call to you and know that you are always there for me. I never have to say a word, you know me oh so well. Before long we are laughing of things we used to do. And because of you, happiness once again fills my world, just by you being you Yes, we are simply friends, but you mean the world to me. You are so much a part of me. Without you life would just not be the same. So though I may not often say it. I love you, my dear friend. Our hearts and hands are intertwined from now until the end. When you need someone to talk to, someone you know will understand. You know I am here because we are simply friends! |

Friend is like a flower,
A rose to be exact, Or maybe like a brand new gate That never comes unlatched. A friend is like a owl, Both beautiful and wise. Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost, Whose spirit never dies. A friend is like those blades of grass You can never mow, Standing straight, tall and proud In a perfect little row. A friend is like a heart that goes Strong until the end. Where would we be in this world If we didn't have a friend? FRIENDS FOREVER!!! I hope that everyone will agree with me. |

A true friend will guard your secrets
like a precious gift. A true friend is there for you, to give you a helpful lift. A true friend tries to make you smile, tries to replace that frown. They may not always succeed, but they rarely let you down. These arms for you are open, this heart of mine does care and when I think you need me... I'll try my best to be there. I'll listen to your fears, I promise not to laugh, comfort your falling tears, I'll make this friendship last. I'll keep you close to my heart, I'll always hold you dear, even when we're miles apart, and even when you're here. I hope I am to you, everything you are to me. For the friendship we have is a special one indeed |

Today I found a friend
who knew everything I felt she knew my weakness and the problems I've been dealt. She understood my wonders and listened to my dreams, she listened to how I felt about life and love and knew what it all means. Not once did she interrupt me or tell me I was wrong she understood what I was going through and promised she'd stay long. I reached out to this friend, to show her that I care to pull her close and let her know how much I need her there. I went to hold her hand to pull her a bit nearer and I realized this perfect friend I found was nothing but a mirror. |
