Tell Me Why...???
 

Each time a young service person dies
Somewhere in this world a mother cries
She finds it difficult to understand why
Her precious son or daughter had to die.


Heartbroken sad tears cover her face
Regretfully, she knows her loss can't be replaced
She realizes only memories are left of her child
It hurts knowing she'll never again see her child smile.


She remembers the last day before her child had to leave
The hugs and kisses, her child asking her not to grieve
The promise her child made saying I'll come back home
The promise was kept, but the way was terribly wrong.

Please God tell me why people have to fight and die
Couldn't people live peacefully if they tried?
God, didn't send us to earth to hate, fight and kill
If peace isn't restored soon by us; God, I hope You will...!!
