Recipe Ingredients
1/2 kg Bitter gourd
1/2 cup Oil
1/2 cup Yogurt
1 1/2 cup Gram lentil boiled
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
1 tsp Chili powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp heaped Salt
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1/2 tsp Onion seeds
1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
4 tbsp Brown onion


Recipe Method


Scrap the 1/2
kg bitter gourds and remove seeds, rub with salt and keep aside for 1 hour,
wash well and boil for 5 minutes with 1 tbsp tamarind pulp. Remove and keep
aside.


Heat 1/2 cup
oil in pan, add 4 tbsp brown onion with 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp salt,
1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp pounded onion
seeds, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds and 1/2 cup yogurt, fry well.

Add 1 1/2
cup boiled gram lentil, simmer for 10 minutes.

Fill the boiled bitter gourd with gram lentil
mixture.

In the pan
put the stuffed bitter gourd and remaining gram lentil Masala, cover and cook
for 15 minutes over very low flame.

Lastly
sprinkle coriander leaves and green chilies.
