INGREDIENTS

8 potatoes,
1 bowl water for boiling the potatoes,
300 gm refined oil to fry the potato balls,
6 Tomatoes,
little ginger and chillies for making gravy,
and spices for taste,
1 bowl of water for the gravy,
some flour to wrap the balls.



PREPARATION OF POTATO BALLS/KOFTAS:

1. Boil the potatoes(as usual).

2. Peel the boiled potatoes after they are a bit cooled down.

3. mash the potatoes and add spices and salt to taste.

4. make small balls out of the dough prepared of boiled and mashed potatoes.

5. use a bit of flour to wrap the balls in it.

6. fry the potato balls in refined oil until they are reddish.

7. Keep the balls aside and prepare the gravy.




PREPARATION OF GRAVY:


1. Cut tomatoes, ginger and chillies into small pieces

2. Grind them in a mixer grinder to make a purie.

3. Put some oil in a kadhayi/pan and put on the gas stove.

4. Add some jeera, grinded red chillies and pisa hua dhaniya in it and stir using a ladle for a minute.

5. Add the paste of tomatoes prepared to the pan and keep stirring (add some water if thick).

6. Add salt to taste.

7. Add balls of potatoes made earlier in it and remove the pan from the stove.

8. Let it cool down a bit.

9. Serve fresh with coriander garnishing.
