GM India has been one of the first automakers who have taken the green initiative in India. Chevrolet had launched the Optra CNG, the then alternative fuel variant of the Spark. Recently, they launched the Chevrolet Aveo CNG. And now, the American auto giant plans to launch the LPG variant of the Beat in India by the end of 2010.
