Door aa bethi thi zamane se
phir bhi duniya satane aa puhnchi

dil ki veraani pe hairaan thi abhi
ke khizaan gul churane aa punchi

sang-zani jab thami tu chalne ko
khaar rasta sajane aa puhnchi

dil ne jab saaz dard ka cheera
aankh aansoo bahane aa puhnchi

din ki vehshat se bach ke nikli thi
raat nindiya churane aa puhnchi

pur-sakoon main hui tu lamhoon mein
yaad teri satane aa puhnchi...

koi humdam na mila tu main khud
rasm-e-duniya nibhane aa puhnchi

main bhi gul ke astane per
apni bighri banane aa puhnchi!
