 Ik jahaan tha jo tere sheher main abaad hua Dil magar mast-e-may Ishq tha barbaad hua Sab ko tauqeer mili ahd-e-pazeerayi main Ik mera hurf-e-wafa tha jo be daad hua Rooh to qaid-e-man-o-tu se nikal ayi thi Jism bhi band-e-talsimat se azaad hua Kis kis ko alim-e-wehshat main khabar hoti hai Kaun barbad hua kis liye barbaad hua Main tu mehroom-e-mohabbat thi tu kuch nalaan thi Tu bhala kis liye be baat hi na shad hua
