Ab aansuyon ko aankhon mein sajaana hoga
Chiraag bhuj gaye khud ko jalaana hoga
Na samjhna ke tumse bichhar ke khush hain
Hamein logon ki khaatir muskuraana hoga
Phir pairon mein mehndi laga ke baithe honge
Hum jaante hain unkaa kya bahana hoga
Phir shaam dhal gayi aap aaye na aaj bhi
Dil ko aaj phir umeedon se behlaana hoga
Vaada-khilaafi kar ke muskuraate ho aap
Dekhna aik din aapko pachtaana hoga
Lahoo se apne kafan pe tera naam likh jaaunga
Thaam haath mein kaleeja tumko aana hoga
Muddaton kiya hai tera intezaar aey dost
Umar kat chuki ab ham ko jaana hoga...
