Gun'gunatey hue aanchal ki hawa de mujhko
Unghliyan phair k baloon me sula de mujko

Yaad kar k mujhay takleef hi hoti ho gi
Aik qissa hun purana sa bhula de mujhko

Doobtay doobtay Aawaz teri sun jaon
Aakhri bar tu sahil se sadha de mujko

Main tere hijar mai chup chap na marjao kahin
Main hon saktey mai kabhi aa kar rula de mujko

Dekh mai hogya bad'naam kitaboon ki tarah
Meri tash'heer na kar ab tu jala de mujhko
