Dil-o-nigah ne apna tumhien ko maana tha
wagar-na saath hamaray tu ik zamana tha

Bus yehi soach kar hum nay bicha diyae aansoo!
kay bazm-e gham ko kisi taur tu sajana tha

Abhi say qurbatain furqat main kio badal daalien
Abhi tu mosam-e jaana bohut sohana tha

mere shajar! yeh shikway shikayatain kaisi
woh musafir tha usay loat kar tu jaana tha

Jo zindagi ko nay zakhm day gaya hay Zafar
kisay batain kay woh doast ik poraana tha
