koi poochey to main kia kahoon
ussey kia bataoon

yeh roz-o-shabb to janam janam pai muheet hai
merey zakhm zakhm dil-o-nazar

mujhey iss janam main nahi miley
merey rattjagey merey hamsafar

merey saath aaj nahi chaley
yeh muheeb wehshat-e-fiqr jo

merey naqsh naqsh ki rooh hai
koi bey sabaat bayaan nahi

yeh to aatmaon ka aks hai
yeh to devtaaon ka dhiyyan hai

yeh to janey kaisi sadi sadi ki azyaton ka giyyan hai
yeh ajeeb mairi mohabbatain yeh ajeeb mairey gham-o-allam

yeh naseeb sang-o-siyaah par
yeh warq warq pai garey qalam

yeh karra hisaar naya nahi
maira intazaar qadeem hai

maira uss sey piyaar qadeem hai
yeh ajeeb mairi mohabbatain
