Tum wo shajar ho
Jis ki shaakhein tapti dhoop mein
Shabnum shabnum phail rahi hein
Jaisay zaat ki penhaai ho

Us nay kaha tha
Tum wo shajar ho
Jis k patton ki shaadaabi soundhi khushboo
Mosam-e-gull ka sirmaaya hai
Jaisay khuwaab ki raanaai ho
Tum wo shajar ho jis ki jarein itni gehri hein
Jaisay rooh ki gehraai ho
Us nay kaha tha

Ye to gaye din ki baatein hein
Patt-jhar say pehlay ki baatein
Ab to zeest ki aik aik saa’at aik aik lamha
Dasht-e-junoon mein tunhaai ka boujh uthaaye
Aanay waalay rah-geeron say pooch raha hai
Ye mosam kab tak badlay ga ?
Kab tak ye mosam badlay ga ? ? ?
