Mujhse bishad kar in dino kis rang mein he woh (2)
Yeh dekhne amir khusro ke ghar jana chahiye (2)
Awargi mein hadh se guzar jana chahiye.

Us but se ishq kijiye lekin kuch istarah (3)
Mujhe koi toh saf mukar jana chahiye (2)
Afsos apne ghar ka pata humse kho gaya(3)
Ab sochna he ki kidhar jana chahiye (3)

Baithe rahoge dasht mein kab tak mirza ghalib (3)
Jina agar nahi he toh mar jana chahiye (2)
Awargi mein hadh se guzar jana chahiye.

Nadan jawani ka zamana guzar gaya (3)
Ab ah gaya budhapa sudhar jana chahiye (3)
Awargi mein hadh se guzar jana chahiye.
Lekin kabhi kabhar (2)
Toh ghar jana chahiye
Awargi mein hadh se guzar jana chahiye.

Kya ye alfaz un ulfat patan woh, jakke shamma ke nazdik dekho...
