The description of the Pakistan Flag is as follows:

1) Green with a vertical white band (symbolizing the role of religious minorities) on the hoist side

2) A large white crescent and star are centered in the green field

3) The crescent, star, and color green are traditional symbols of Islam

Where as the White part reflects peace and honesty & symbolizing the role of religious minorities and Green part of the Flag represents hope, joy and love and in many cultures have a sacred significance as in Pakistan where the color green is associated with Islam
