Zeesat kii qeemat mager chukaanii thii
agerche shehr maiN buht giraanii thii

oper oper se muhabbat ki farawani thii
under under se ye dunyaa baDi syani thii

lab-e-sukhn pe tu ek dosri kahani thii
lab-e-tazij pe shabab tha jawani thii

maiN usay door jata daikhta rahaa
chaal thii haye tuba sitm rawaani thii

dost dushman robaroo koii bhii nahiiN
peetH peeche tu sab lan taraanii thii

Naseh pesh aatay tum bhi burd bari se
apnaa wohi rang aur us ki jawani thii

BastiiyaaN dil ki ujaD rahi theeN Waheed
MuhabbataiN theeN yaa naqal makanii thii
