guzar gaii ju muhabbat kia usii pe mer jaaye
shahr-e-wafa maiN be wafa dil phir kidher jaaye

hoslaa ho tu mujh se dam-e-ulfat bharnaa
kia khabar dil labb-e-baam mukar jaaye

dill youN chahay amshab jate jate woh
daaman-e-yaar sitarouN se bhar jaaye

intihaaye shoq youN na kar dil-e- pagal
gul-e-tar, tar rahe aur tuu bikher jaaye

sawen bhadouN shahr dil maiN ghir aaye waheed
firaaq-e-yaar mai-e-jam maiN uter jaaye
