apani rusawaye tere naam ka charcha dekhaun
ek zara sher kahoun aur main kyaa kyaa dekhoun

nend aa jaaye to kya mahafilien barpa dekhoun
ankh khul jaaye to tanhaaye ka sahara dekhoun

shaam bhi ho gay dhundhala gaye ankhain bhi meri
bhuulanewaale main kab tak tera rasta dekhoun

sab zidein us ki main puuri karoun har baat sunoun
ek bachche ki tarah se usay hansta dekhoun

mujh pe chha jaaye wo barasaat ki Khushbu ki tarah
ang ang apanaa usi rut mein mahakataa dekhoun

tuu merii tarah se yaktaa hai magar mere habib
je mein aataa hai koi aur bhi tujh saa dekhoun

main ne jis lamhe ko puujaa hai use bas ek baar
Khwaab ban kar teri ankhoun main utarataa dekhoun

tu meraa kuchh nahi lagataa hai magar jaan-e-hayaat
jaane kyoun tere liye dil ko dhadakata dekhoun
..
