Zindagii tujh ko manaane nikale
ham bhii kis darjaa diivaane nikale

[darjaa=type of, to what limit]

kuchh to dushman the mukhaalif-saf me.n
kuchh mere dost puraane nikale

[mukhaalif-saf=in the enemy camp]

nazar_andaaz kiyaa hai us ne
khud se milane ke bahaane nikale

be-basaarat hai ye bastii yaaro
aa_iinaa kis ko dikhaane nikale

[be-basaarat=blind]

in andhero.n me.n jiyoge kab tak
ko_ii to shamaa jalaane nikale
