Main uss ka dost hon woh etraaf kerta tha,
Magar wo batein bhi mere khilaaf kerta tha,

Suna hai gir ke mera badalon ki sirri se,
Wo aasman ki chat mein shigaaf kerta tha,

Kamal hai ke hua woh bhi nazar-e-be,khabri,
Jo hum pe roz naye inkishaaf kerta tha,

Woh qatal ho gaya badsuraton ki mehfil mein,
Jo sare sheher ke aainey saaf kerta tha...,

Qateel ab tou mazaron ka bhi hai woh qail,
Khuda se bhi jo kabhi inhiraaf kerta tha...........
