ek taza hikayat hai
sunlo ger inayat hai
ek shaks ko dekha tha
taro ki tarha hum ne
ek shaks ko chaha tha
apno ki tarha hum ne
ek shaks ko samjha tha
pholo ki tarha hum ne
wo shaks qayamat tha
kia us ki karein batein
din us ke lia paida
us ke lia hi ratein
kam milna kisi se tha
hum sei thein mulaqatein
rang us ka shahabi thi
zulfo me thein mehkaarein
ankhein thein ke jadoo tha
palkein thein ke talwarein
dushman bhi agr dekhein
saw jaan sei dil harein
kuch tum sei wo milta tha
bato me shabahat me
han tum sa hi lagta tha
shokhi me shararat me
lagta bhi tuhi sa tha
dastoor e muhabbat me

wo shaks ek din humei
apno kio tarha bhoola
taro ki tarha dooba
pholo ki tarah toota
phir hath na aya
hum ne tou bahut dhoonda

tum kis lia chonke ho
kab zikr yah tumahra hai
kab tum sei taqaza hai
kab tum sei shikayat hai
ek taza hikayat hai
ger sunlo tou inayat hai
