Haal mat pooch ishq karne kaa
Umer jeene ki shoq marne kaa
Wo mohabbat ki ehtiyat k din
Haaye mausam wo khud se darne kaa
Ab ussay ainay se nafrat he
Kal jise shoq tha sunwarnay kaa
Khud kashi ko bhi raaega'n na samjh
Kaam ye bhi he kar guzarnay kaa
Umar bhar ke azab se mushkil
Ik lamha sawal karne kaa
khoon rona bhi ik hunar thehra
Baanjh mausam me rang bharne kaa
Tootaty dil ko shoq he Mohsin
Soort-e-barg-gul bikharnay kaa
