Sitaron ko badalna chahate hain
Tare ham rah chalna chahte hain

Bohat barhaq sahe, paste hamare
Magar ab ham sanbhalna chahte hain

Sehar jase bhe ho, pher bhe sehar he
Shab-e-gum se nikalna chahte hain

Chaton se barf rokhsat ho rahe he
Ye mosam ab badalna chahte hain

Mehakte shokh jazbon ke tarha ham
Tare dill men machalna chahte hain

Nahe rokte same ke teez andhe
Deye to kab se jalna chahte hain

وہ روح کے صحرا میں سرابوں کی طرح ہے
