Dukh anmol hotey hain
qudrat ki wadeeat hain
kabhi kuch dey k jaatey hain
kabhi sub cheen laitey hain
kabhi beychain kartey hain
kabhi jeena sikhaatey hain
kabhi bantey hain jub aansoo
umar bhar lahoo rulaatey hain
kabhi lub ki hunsi bun kar
nayi dunya sajaatey hain
kabhi meethi kasak ban kar
anjaani khalish bun kar
makeen-e-dil yeh bantey hain
kisi soorat nahin mit'tey
jo in say door bhaago tou
kaheen jaaney nahin detay
naa zinda rehnay detay hain
naa yeh aazaad kartey hain
nahin jiski dawa koi
yeh aisa dard hotey hain
magar yeh bhi ik haqeeqat hay
hur aik ko to nahin miltey
barey nayaab hotey hain
