Maut kaa darr hii kahiiN maar na daale mujhko
'Zindagii kar gayi sholoN ke hawaale mujhko'

Ishq itnaa toh kar ki neend se jaaguN main zaraa
Aake ek baar toh seene se lagaale mujhko

Kab kahaa maine mujhe aag ka fun haasil hai?
Kab kahaa maine charaaghoN saa jalaale mujhko?

Waqt hii hai ke jo bas laut kar nahiiN aata
maiN toh insaa.N huN sadaa deke bulaale mujhko

apnii hastii pe is qadar bhii na itraa jaanaa.N!
hoor kehte haiN mere chaahne waale mujhko

wo ’ rabt rakhe bas chaahe jaisaa rakkhe
humsafar naa sahii dushman hi banaale mujhko ....
