deedar-e-sanam aur na koi sila chahiye
humko to sirf wafaon ka silsila chahiye

sache aashiq ki ulfat ka hai ye imteehan
aankhoan se ashk churane ka saliqa chahiye

hukumat na daulat na shohrat chahiye
mujhko mere khwaboan ka shehzada chahiye

har parwana shamma ka nahi hota srk
saath jalne ka us me hosla chahiye
