Here are Some of the Common Herbal Home Remedies used for Curing any type of Fever:
Grapefruit - The juice of grapefruit is a valuable diet in all fevers. It quenches thirst and removes the burning sensation produced by the fever. Half a glass of grapefruit juice should be taken with an equal quantity of water.

Avoid Cold Baths - According to some doctors, the earlier advice to to immerse a fevered person in cold water has now become outdated. They say that a cold water bath makes the body temperature drop down too quickly which will make you shiver and may result in rising of even more temperature than before due to the fact that rapid muscle movement generates body heat.

Root of Mango Tree - Grind a few root of the mango tree so as to make a fine paste and apply it on the palm and sales of the patient. This will help him in getting rid of fever.

Fenugreek Seeds - To reduce fever dry roast 2-3 teaspoons of fenugreek (methi seeds) till it becomes brown. Now grind them to make a powdered form and boil the powder in half glass of water. Strain the water, add a drop of ghee and drink. The patient will immediately loose some temperature.

Drink lot of Fluids - Water is a wonderful liquid and helps in curing every disease. Drink as much water as you can in order to replace fluid loss which occurs during fever. It will also help to bring down body temperature.

Holy Basil - Holy Basil leaves are another very effective home remedy for the treatment of common fever. A decoction is made of about 12g of powder of holy basil leaves boiled in half a lire of water. The mixture prepared should be taken two times daily with half a cup of milk, 1 tsp sugar and a ¼ teaspoon of powdered cardamom. This would help in bringing down the temperature.
