Bahaana dhondtay rehtay hai’n koi ronay kaa
Hamai’n yeh shouq hay kaya aasti’n bhigonay ka

Agar palak pe hay moti tau yeh nahi kafi
Hunar bhi chahaye alfaaz mai’n paronay ka

Jo fasal khawab ke tayaar hay tau yeh jano
Kay waqat aa gaya phir dard koi bonay ka

Yeh zindagi bhi ajab karobaar hay kay mujhe
Khushi hay panay ke koi na ranj kohnay ka

Hay pash pash magar phir bhi muskurata hay
Wo chehra jaisay ho tootay hoaye kihlonay ka
