Raat sun_saan dasht-o-dar Khaamosh
chaaNd sitaare shajar hajar Khaamosh

koii aavaaz-e-paa na baang-e-jaras
kaaravaaN aur is qadar Khaamosh

har taraf ek muhiib sannaaTaa
dil dhaDakataa to hai magar Khaamosh

huye jaate hain kis liye aaKhir
ham_safar baat baat par Khaamosh

hain ye aadaab-e-rah_guzar ke Kahuf
raah_rau chup hain raahabar Khaamosh

muKhtasar ho na ho shab-e-taariik
ham ko jalnaa hai raat bhar Khaamosh

jaane kyaa baat kar rahe the ki ham
ho gaye ek naam par Khaamosh..
