Kuch dair pehlay neend say
Kuch ashk milnay aa gai
Kuch khwab bhee tootay huay
Kuch loog bhee bhoolay huay
Kuch rasta bhatki hueeN
Kuch gerd main liptee hueeN
Kuch bay-tarah phaili hueeN
Kuch khaul main simti hueeN

Bairabt C soochain kai
Bhooli huee batain kai
Ik shaks kee yadain kai

Phir dair tak jaga raha
Sochoon main gum baitha raha
Ungli se thanday farsh per
Ik naam hee likhta raha

Kal raat bhee woh raat thee
Kuch dair pehlay neend say
Main dair tak rota raha.
