Muslims do believe in the end of the world but the date is only known by The Allah.

No reasonable sane person believes 12/21/2012 is the end of the world. Al Qur'an says that

no one will know until it happens. Allah knows then best so we should save ourselves the

trouble of thinking about it, and they said that 1/1/2000 was the end of the world, but it

didn't.
