kaash wo tera aakhiri khat aakhiri na hota
bhooli nahi hai tu mujhe ye ehsaas to rehta
main tanha to hota magar itna bhi na hota
har khat tera wajood banke mere paas to rehta

shayad meri mohabbat me ab koi asar na raha
ab na hoti hongi teri aakhein nam mere liye
shayad tere dil me meri yaadon ka basar na raha
ab na uthaate honge tere haath kalam mere liye

lekin lag raha hai mujhko aaj dil ki baaton se
jaise kar rahi hai tu bas abhi yaad mujhe
likh rahi hai khat koi apne mulayam haaton se
jo aake milga bas chand roz ke baad mujhe

subah guzar jaayegi shaam ke intezaar me
aur shaam nayi subah ke intezaar me guzar jaayegi
zindagi guzar jaayegi tere paigaam ke intezaar me
us ke baad kya hoga bas maut chali aayegi

is aas me chala jaaunga main ye jahan choorkar
k shayad mera marna hi kuchh kaam aayega
shayad chali aaye tu us pal mere paas daudkar
jis pal tere paas meri maut ka paigaam aayega...
