Khushboo wohii he lekin pairhan badel raha he
aarzoo wohi he lekin rang badel rahaa he
shabnam gir rahii he gham badel rahaa he
mosam badel raha he mosam badel raha he

shab-e-firaaq ke bad-e-baraaN se uth.tii he sabaa
sair-o-chashm nahii, peham nahii
lekin arzoo-e-gull le ke aa jaati he wafaa
Khaloos kaa dawa tu kartii he zindagii
lekin phir apne hi haal pe martii he zindagii
arz-e-kayenat maiN na jaane kia kia chal raha he
mosam badel rahaa he mosam badel rahaa he

HaiN serd hawaaeN aatish e gul ke naseeb maiN
ay kaash tum bhi kabhii
plet ke aao dyaar e habiib maiN
ek maarkaa sajaa he
gulistaan-e-ain-ul-shabeeb maiN
charagh jal raha he dil machal raha he
mosam badel raha he mosam badel raha he
