ke ek tumharii do takkay ki wafa ke liye
sarii dunyaa se kyouN jafaa kii jaaye
mujhe tu surkh gulaabouN se unsiat thii

lekin wo sochti he
ke ab mujhe harii jhandii dikhaa dii jaaye
tu phir ab ye khamooshii hi behtar he
ay dill ab na aur sholouN ko hawaa dii jaaye
Behtar he ke ab ishq kii galyouN maiN
der-e-khour-e-aitanaa na phiraa jaaye
Mud mud ke, naa dekha jaaye
koi bhi sada na di jaaye.
