How to Organize Your Closet

·Is your closet a huge mess like mine was a few days ago? Yesterday, I decided to motivate myself and finally reorganize my closet…which took about 4 hours. Now I’m not a messy person to begin with, but for some reason, I can never keep my closet nice and tidy, and so I find myself taking everything out and reorganizing it all back again every once in a while. Thankfully, I got some expert tips on how to organize your closet and I must say…my wardrobe has never looked better! Here’s how!

Step 1
Take 2 garbage bags. Use one for clothes that you no longer wish to wear and donate them. Make sure these clothes are not ripped or stained. Take the second bag and use it to throw out items that are no longer wearable.

Step 2
Start by emptying out your closet, drawers, and anything else that contains clothing. Spread them out on your bed and carefully examine each and every piece of clothing to decide if you want to keep it or give it away. If you haven’t worn something in a year, you’re never going to wear it again - donate it!

Step 3
Organize everything in piles. Put your dresses together, your casual t-shirts, your jeans, etc. Hang the dresses as well as the jeans. You can fold your t-shirts and put them in drawers. Keep your dressy clothes separate from your casual clothes.

Step 4
Color coordinate. To make things easier, you can organize everything by colors. So if you’re hanging up your dresses, arrange them together by color. Same goes for your t-shirts, dressy tops, etc. This way, you’ll know where everything is once you decide what color you’re going to wear.

Step 5
If you need more room, you can always buy cheap storage bins and store them under your bed or in a spare closet. But the most important thing to remember is to get rid of clothing that you haven’t worn in a while, that you don’t need, or that doesn’t fit you. The second you get rid of those, you’ll see how much more r0om you’ll have.
