sham-e-firaq ab na pooch, aaee aur aake dhal gaee,
dil thha ki phir behel gaya, jaaN thhee ki phir sambhal gaeee...

buzm-e- khayalme tere husn ki shamma jal gaee,
dard ka chand bujh gaya, hijr ki raat dhal gaee....

jub tujhe yaad ker liyasubha mehek mehek uthee,
jub tera gamh jaga liya, raat macha machal gaee...

dilse to her mamla ker ke chale thye saf hum,
kehene me unke samne baat badal, badal gaee
