Dua ka tota huwa harf, sard aah mein hai
teri juda'ee ka manzar abhi nigah mein hai

teray badalnay k ba-wasf tujh ko chaha hai
ye aitaraf bhi shamil meray gunah mein hai

azab day ga tou phir mujh ko khaab bhi day ga
mein mutma'in hoon, mera dil teri panah mein hai

bikhar chuka hai magar muskura k milta hai
wo rakh rakhaoo abhi meray kajkalah mein hai

jisay bahar k mehman khali chhor ga'ey
wo ik makan abhi tak makeen ki chah mein hai

yehi wo din thay jab ik dusaray ko paya tha
hamari saalgirah theek ab k mah mein hai

mein bach bhi jaoon tou tanha'i maar dalay gi
meray qabilay ka her fard qatl-gah mein hai!
