Chicken Do Pyaza
Ingredients: Chicken - 8 Big pieces
Oil - 2 ½ tbsp
Onions - 6 Big
BayLeaf (Tejpatte) - 2
Cardamom - 8 small
Cloves - 2
Dry Red Chilies - 3
Black pepper seeds - 6
Garlic Cloves - 6
Ginger - 3”
Coriander Powder(Dhaniya powder) - 1 tsp
Roasted Cumin Seed Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder (Haldi) - ½ tsp
Red Chili powder - 1 tsp
Salt - To taste
Tomatoes - 5 Big
Water - 1 ½ Cup
Directions...
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan. Now fry 6 onions (Cut them in 4 or 6 big pieces only), till they become light brown in color. Keep them aside for later use.
- Make paste of ginger and garlic in a mixer.
- Fry chicken pieces in oil for about 2min and stir constantly.
- Now in other pan put 1 tbsp of oil. Add tejpatte, cardamom, clove, dry red chilies and black pepper seeds. Fry them for about one minute.
- Add garlic & Ginger paste (prepared in step 2). Cook for about 2mintues or till they become golden in color.
- Mix Coriander powder, Cumin powder, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.
- Add chopped tomatoes and fry them till mixture separates from oil.
- Now add fried onions (from step 1), fried chicken pieces (from step 3). Mix well.
- Add water and cook till the chicken gets soft.
- Serve hot with rice.
